Only coffees grown above 1300 meters above sea level are included in this blend . “Golden Gayo” is a classic profile Sumatra with notes of leather, fresh tobacco, cocoa, honey and light cherry fruit. This is lovely stuff. Originally I ordered one pound of roasted bean, which I ground as I used it and drank sparingly. This coffee is full and smooth without being syrupy. It is dry without an aftertaste. It is light enough to drink anytime, but still rich enough for a good early morning fullness to start the day. Nothing wimpy, nothing overpowering. "Golden" describes it perfectly.
