This past summer my wife and family drove up the coast to San Fransisco. We visited 7 different coffee roasters and bought a bag of espresso from each. After returning home we had a cappuccino comparison of our own over a weeks period. Palermo stood out from the rest. Very smooth, not bold or harsh at all. We walk away with a slightly carmel/chocolatey flavor. This will now be our daily grind.We're also glad to see a coffee roaster that still sells 1lb bags and not skimping down to 12oz. bags. Thanks for taking care of us Gayla, you're awesome!!

Palermo blend is superb.Rich, strong and chocolaty. Umm.

This was a fabulous espresso. The beans have such a nice oil to it that I had to keep an eye on the hopper of my espresso machine to make sure the beans dropped smoothly into the grinder. (I have seen an espresso machine maintenance web site that advocates using non-oily beans ... who would ever do that??):-)
